Enfamil® NEXT STEP® LIPIL® is a milk-based formula for infants and toddlers, 9-24 months, who are eating solid foods. Enfamil NEXT STEP LIPIL includes docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and arachidonic acid (ARA), nutrients that promote brain and eye development, and has a level of calcium similar to whole cow’s milk.

Indications

Enfamil NEXT STEP LIPIL infant and toddler formula is a balanced formula for infants and toddlers, 9-24 months, who are eating solid foods.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), iron-fortified infant formula should be used if breastfeeding is not chosen, is discontinued during the first year, or if a supplement to breast milk is desired.2Cow’s milk is not recommended before the first birthday.

Product Characteristics
Enfamil® NEXT STEP® LIPIL® is an easily digested, balanced formula for infants and toddlers 9-24 months. It provides key nutrients, including vitamin C (not found in cow’s milk), iron, and vitamin E (found at lower levels in cow’s milk), and DHA and ARA1(not found in cow’s milk in any significant amount).

Preparation of Feedings
Parents should discuss the need to boil water for formula and equipment preparation with their babies’ health care professionals.

The baby’s health depends on carefully following these directions.

To Make Individual or Multiple Bottles From POWDER

1. Pour desired amount of warm water into cup or bottle. Add powder, cap bottle or cup, and shake vigorously. Use the following chart for correct amounts of water and powder.
Note: Avoid using hot tap water. Hot tap water usually contains higher amounts of lead than cold tap water. It may also affect heat-sensitive vitamins.

2. Feed immediately, or cover and refrigerate prepared formula. Use within 48 hours. Throw away prepared formula left in feeding bottle or cup within 1 hour after feeding begins. Use product by date on container.
